The Images

For venues with suitable facilities, Cosmophony features a stunning array of projected images from our solar system and beyond.

The new Canadian pieces are accompanied by authentic video images taking viewers to the sun and each of the planets in turn, made especially for Cosmophony by Erik Koelmeyer, of the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.

The visuals for Crumb's Makrokosmos II feature pictures from the exhibition From Earth to the Universe (FETTU). A cornerstone project of the 2009 International Year of Astronomy, FETTU brought together the most dramatic astrophotographs from observatories and amateur astronomers around the world. These images are being exhibited in over 250 locations in 60 countries during 2009 and 2010, and Cosmophony is proud to be an official FETTU exhibition.
